Two Weeks

My Aunt Rosie made Emma a beautiful quilt, pillows, and a bear. Emma named the bear Rosie. She puts Rosie in the bouncy chair, the swing, and the carseat.

Emma has become more and more interested in her clothes. Here she dressed herself with her underwear on backwards and inside out. They were at least clean. Kind of a super napper outfit except for the super napper part.

Grandma Lindy and John. We were all sad to see Grandma go. Emma has since asked were Grandma is every day since she left.

One Week

I am determined to take lots of pictures of John so he can't say that he was left undocumented. We'll see how this goes. Here he is at one week. I am feeling pretty good that we collectively made it to one week in the Russell household.

Battles

Here is a battle I have decided not to fight. I just want it to be known that I am aware that Emma's cloths don't match. I just decided I didn't have the energy for that fight. One day she went to story time in a sweater and a skort and the skort was on backwards. Another day she wore a pink sock and a white sock to Target. Another day, she looked like this:

Her pants are probably size 12-18 months and her shirt 18-24 months. She had floods and a belly shirt - it was awesome. She found the cloths the next morning and asked to wear them again. Fortunately I could show her that they were dirty and needed to be washed.

John Richard Russell

John Richard Russell was born on January 26th 2012 at 11:43am weighing 7 pounds 6 ounces with what appears to be blue eyes, and brownish, blondish, reddish hair. Really it is any color but black depending on the light. Labor lasted about 4.5 hours and a good portion of that was waiting for the doctor to come to actually deliver him.

This is a sign that epidurals are wonderful.

After 2 days in the hospital, you can see the tired has already set in.
