Six Months

John is 6 months (well plus a couple of weeks). At his 6 month check up he weighed in at 20lbs and 27.25 inches. He is a big dude. Hence he is only recently rolling over consistently rolling over from his back to his tummy. He is still lagging on the rolling over to his back from his tummy. He is starting to get frustrated that he can't get stuff that he wants. He just ends up tipping over from a sitting up position when he leans to far because he wants an object.

He is cutting some teeth but he is not following the typical pattern. He has his 2 bottom teeth and is cutting the two teeth that are next to his top front teeth. So he will look like a vampire for a little bit. I am pretty excited to see it and think it will make a cute/funny picture. In the mean time he has been a little bit grumpy which is highly unusual for him.

Emma loves to serve as John's toy caddy in the mean time until he can crawl. She also loves to sing to him when we put him down for a nap. It is down right adorable.

John is just itching to eat table food. He is mesmerized by our food. Baby food doesn't hold a candle to what he thinks our food tastes like. I gave him a carrot to gum as a teether and he was about has happy and droolly as you can be. I had to take away the carrot to do something for Emma and he just lost it. We cannot eat a meal and not feed him something, even if he just ate.

John is also just starting to sleep through the night. It has taken longer than I thought to get to this point but we are here nonetheless. The good news is that he sleeps for 11-12 hours for the night. He doesn't typically sleep straight through the whole 11-12 hours but he will wake up at a decent hour like 5am or 6am or later.

Emma continues to mimic me in just about everything. Here she is blow drying her hair. She can actually get a round brush in her hair and out without getting it tangled in a knot. I didn't achieve that until college. Round brushes caused me to panic for 20 years due to some unfortunate childhood experiences.
