The Whistle

Emma went to a birthday party last night and came home with a whistle. I was shocked. Oddly enough Emma didn't know what a whistle was. I have been very careful to remove whistles from our lives. Last night she got to it before I could. Once she figured out what it did, she giggled all the way home. She was about crying she was laughing so hard.

I laid down a ground rule - no whistles in the house. So this morning she wanted to go for a walk so she could whistle. In fact she would rather whistle than ride her bike. So I jogged around the neighborhood with the kids in the stroller with Emma whistling at 8:45am. I will go down in history as a rockin' mom and a horrible neighbor.
