This morning John didn't want to put on pants. This is not unusual. Probably it has something to do with the fact that as an infant he rarely sported such because it is so hot. I felt it was merciful to let him roam the house in a onesie. Emma chased him around the house this morning trying her hardest to persuade him to put on the pants. He refused and kept running away. Finally, she said in an exasperated voice, "Do you want to be embarrassed?"
Reflecting on that question, embarrassed is the last thing John would feel. I have never ever seen him show that emotion. Emma was embarrassed quite easily even as an infant. Not John. He would probably strut outside the house with great pride and show off his pasty white little legs. Emma would probably be embarrassed for him.
