Hatched

Emma told me we needed a new laundry basket. I asked her why. She said it was "hatched." I asked her what that meant. She tried to explain that it was cracked. So I asked her if she meant cracked like how an egg is cracked when a chick hatches out of an egg. She was happy that I understood what she meant. I was giggling inside.
