Emma Finger Painted
With poop. I got her up from her "nap" I could smell her diaper. When I looked at her, she had brown smudges all over her shirt, shorts and most importantly, her face. And by face I mean her lip, which most likely means she had a taste. I had heard about this day, but was hoping that we would just skip it.... guess not.

Flat Stanley
My nephew Josh sent us Flat Stanley for us to take on an adventure. Unfortunately Emma got sick and that was the end of our adventures. However, we did take him out for BBQ because that is something Texans do well. After dinner, Emma decided to shake her groove thing at the restaurant.
Easter
We had great Easter plans until Emma developed hand foot mouth disease. Everything came to a screeching halt at that point. Fortunately she is happy but she isn't over it yet. So there will be no Easter dress for Emma at church today. That will have to wait until next week.
I decided to do an Easter egg hunt for Emma this year. I wasn't sure if she would get the idea but she actually did quite well with some help. She found the hardest egg on her own. Once she caught on to the idea she was just giggling about her eggs. Occasionally she got distracted by the fact that she could open and close the eggs. I had to reminder to go look for some more. At the end, she started to put the eggs back into their hiding places. Fortunately for me she stopped after a few eggs.

What Are Your Main Responsibilities?
I had a recruiter call me today and ask me this question. I told him diaper changes. It was the first thing that came to my mind. Probably taking my daughter to the park would have been a better answer based on the amount of time we go there.

Waterway Fountain and Boots
Ever since we moved to The Woodlands I have been wanting to take Emma to the fountains that they have at Market Street and the Waterway. I have had to wait until Emma was big enough and the weather was warm enough. This weekend was the first opportunity. It was adorable and then when it was all said and done, Emma wanted to climb the stairs nearby. I don't know why I bother to take her anywhere besides to stairs. I should take her to BYU on the south side of campus where they have all of those stairs that I hated. She would be in heaven.
Emma loves to try on my boots. She got into my closet and found all of my old boots.

The Nudists
Emma has a nudist streak. It started when she was little. At about 4 months Grandma Lindy discovered the streak. If Emma was fussy, she would take Emma's clothes and diaper off. The world was a happy place after that... until Emma peed on the floor and then I had to clean it up.
Fast forward to last night. Last night was cold so I put Emma in footy jammies. I got her up this morning and she had stripped down to her feet. Apparently she had a hard time getting her jammies off her feet. I don't know if she did this last night or this morning. She did say that she was cold when I got her up. However, she was not interested in putting her jammies back on.
So you might wonder which gene pool she might get this from since Aaron and I run on the modest side of things. As a kid, I ran around with as many pairs of pants and shirts as I could physically dress myself in simultaneously. Aaron's mom tells me that she couldn't keep clothes on him. So I present our family as consisting of a lifelong modest person, a reformed nudist, and a nudist.
